The Holmes Aces volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Riverside-Martin Knights to 0 in the Aces non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Aces now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gates County for a non-league game on Thursday, August 17. Holmes will meet a Red Barons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 0-1.
The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Pamlico County gained a win over Havelock (Havelock, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
