With the win, Nash Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bulldogs host North Johnston (Kenly, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

The Cougars now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host North Lenoir for a non-league bout on Monday, August 21. SouthWest Edgecombe will play a Hawks squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 2-0.
