The Covington-Douglas Wildcats softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs to 8 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waukomis for a non-league battle on Monday, August 19. Covington-Douglas will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Kremlin-Hillsdale (Kremlin, OK). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale moves to 0-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Hennessey (Hennessey, OK) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Monday, August 19. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 2-3. Hennessey won 12-0 in their recent non-league battle against Barnsdall (Barnsdall, OK)
