Texas High School Volleyball - Celina over Newman Smith

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Celina Bobcats (Celina, TX) and the host Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), observed Celina's volleyball team top Newman Smith by a count of 2-0.

The Bobcats (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Forney (Forney, TX). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, North Forney was knocked off by Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans battle the Panther Creek Panthers (Frisco, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 17. Newman Smith will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Centennial (Frisco, TX).
