The Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK) softball routed the host Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (Oklahoma City, OK), 17-7 in Saturday's league outing.
The Racers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carl Albert for a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. Newcastle will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Edmond Memorial (Edmond, OK). The Titans record now stands at 3-1.
The Fighting Irish (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Alva (Alva, OK). The Goldbugs go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Alva was routed by Porter (Porter, OK), 26-3, in a non-league test.
