Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) and the visiting McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX), observed Belton's volleyball team top McNeil by a tally of 2-0.
The Tigers (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Rangers go into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Rudder achieved victory over Texas (Texarkana, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Mavericks now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to A&M Consolidated for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. McNeil will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bryan (Bryan, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-2.
