The Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals edged the visiting Brackenridge Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 21. Young Women's Leadership Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record.

The Eagles (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Edison (San Antonio, TX). The Golden Bears come into the 5A Region IV District 27 outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Edison nipped Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
