Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX) and the host Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX), observed Brazos's volleyball team top Goodrich by a tally of 2-0.

The Cougars (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Shepherd (Shepherd, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Shepherd beat Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 22. Goodrich will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
