The St. Joseph Flyers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Columbus Cardinals to 1 in the Flyers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Flyers now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Victoria West for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 16. St. Joseph will play a Warriors team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over St. John XXIII (Katy, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 7-0.

The Cardinals (7-2) will now prepare for their game against Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX). The Shorthorns go into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Schulenburg nudged Burton (Burton, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
