Crean Lutheran Saints (Irvine, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Saints (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sage Hill (Newport Beach, CA). The Lightning enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Sage Hill was defeated by Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Vaqueros now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Costa Mesa for a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. Irvine will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to El Toro (Lake Forest, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.
