In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Eastside Early College Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Northeast Early College Raiders.

The Panthers (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Navarro (Austin, TX). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Navarro was edged by Bastrop (Bastrop, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Raiders now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19. Northeast Early College will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Long Creek (New Braunfels, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
