In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Garland Owls volleyball team scored a 2-0 win over the North Garland Raiders.

With the win, Garland improves its record to 1-5 on the season. The Owls host Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to face the Rangers in a 6A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, August 19. The Rangers go into the test with a record of 2-4. Naaman Forest won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)

The Raiders now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. North Garland will face a team coming off a 3-0 league loss to IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX). The record now stands at 9-32.
