In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Orange Grove Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the McMullen County Cowboys.

The Bulldogs (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Bobcats enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Skidmore-Tynan tipped Banquete (Banquete, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Cowboys now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19. McMullen County will face a Badgers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Canyon Lake (Fischer, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 0-2.
