The Shepherd Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Normangee Panthers to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 19. Shepherd will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lovelady (Lovelady, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 4-2.

The Panthers (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Buffalo (Buffalo, TX). The Bison go into the non-league game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Buffalo gained a win over Palmer (Palmer, TX), 2-1, in a non-league game.
