In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Waltrip Rams volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sharpstown Apollos.

The Rams (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cesar E. Chavez (Houston, TX). The Lobos come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

The Apollos now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sterling for a 5A Region III District 21 test on Tuesday, August 26. Sharpstown will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
