Next, the Pirates face the Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 19. Powell County will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Blackcats enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 9-0 league win over Pikeville (Pikeville, KY).

The Wildcats now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Wolfe County for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 18. Buckhorn will face a Wolves team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Wolves record now stands at 0-3.
