In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Morgan Township Cherokees soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Washington Township Senators.
The Cherokees (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Winamac (Winamac, IN). The Warriors come into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Winamac got by Oregon-Davis (Hamlet, IN), 4-3, in a non-league test.
With the loss, Washington Township drops to 0-1 on the season. The Senators host Hebron (Hebron, IN) to meet the Hawks in a Porter County test on Monday, August 21. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-1. Hebron lost 8-1 in their recent non-league test against Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN)
