Texas High School Volleyball - Sweeny over Morton Ranch

The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) and the visiting Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX), saw Sweeny's volleyball squad beat Morton Ranch by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Sweeny upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Brazoswood (Clute, TX) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Friday, August 18. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Brazoswood lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Dobie (Houston, TX)

The Mavericks now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Alief Elsik for a non-league match on Thursday, August 17. Morton Ranch will battle a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX). The Rams record now stands at 3-5.
