The Porter Spartans volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Silsbee Tigers to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tarkington for a non-league game on Friday, August 18. Porter will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-3.
The Tigers (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Chester (Chester, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Chester nipped Newton (Newton, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
