The Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals to 0 in the Phoenix league victory on Thursday.

The Phoenix now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carver for a Northwest Piedmont 1A game on Tuesday, August 22. Winston-Salem Prep will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-2.

The Bengals (0-2) will now prepare for their game against College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC). The Royals enter the Northwest Piedmont 1A game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, College Prep & Leadership Academy was dropped by Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC), 3-2, in a non-league game.
