The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) and the visiting Colquitt County Packers (Norman Park, GA), observed Lanier County's softball team get by Colquitt County by a tally of 7-4.

The Bulldogs (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians go into the 1A D-II Region 2 bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Irwin County tipped Brooks County (Quitman, GA), 17-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Packers battle the Wilcox County Patriots (Rochelle, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 17. Colquitt County will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 9-5 league win over Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA).
