In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Hancock Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Purvis Tornadoes.

The Hawks (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, New Hope beat Caledonia (Caledonia, MS), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tornadoes meet the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 17. Purvis will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).
