Houston County Bears (Warner Robins, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lee County for a 6A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 23. Houston County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, West Laurens falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to West Forsyth (Cumming, GA) to face the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. West Forsyth won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Northgate (Newnan, GA)
