The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) and the visiting East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), saw Clarke Central's softball squad nip East Jackson by a count of 9-3.

The Gladiators now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cedar Shoals for a non-league match on Saturday, August 19. Clarke Central will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, East Jackson falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Athens Christian (Athens, GA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, August 24. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-1. Athens Christian won 9-6 in their recent non-league match against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA)
