In Monday's non-league game, the host Milburn Eagles baseball team scored a close 10-9 win over the Caney Cougars.
The Eagles (2-4) will now prepare for their outing against Soper (Soper, OK). The Bears come into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Soper nudged Buffalo Valley (Talihina, OK), 9-1, in a non-league test.
With the defeat, Caney drops to 0-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Kiowa (Kiowa, OK) to battle the Cowboys in a Class B outing on Saturday, September 20. The Cowboys come into the outing with a record of 1-0.
