The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) volleyball held off the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC), 2-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Titans now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Mountain Heritage for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 19. McDowell will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.
The Cavaliers (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record.
