In Monday's non-league test, the Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) softball squad the visiting Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), by a margin of 2-0.
The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 19. Darlington will encounter a Wolverines team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Coosa (Rome, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Gordon Central drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Dade County (Trenton, GA) to clash with the Wolverines in a 1A D-I Region 7 test on Tuesday, August 19. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 6-2. Dade County lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Murray County (Chatsworth, GA)
