North Carolina High School Volleyball - Voyager Academy edged by East Wake Academy

August 18, 2025: Durham, NC 27704

East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad tip the host Voyager Academy Vikings (Durham, NC), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC). The Tigers go into the Diamond Nine 1A/2A/3A test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Triangle Math & Science was edged by Eno River Academy (Hillsborough, NC), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Vikings now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to NCSSM: Durham for a Diamond Nine 1A/2A/3A test on Tuesday, August 19. Voyager Academy will play a Unicorns team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Roxboro Community (Roxboro, NC). The Unicorns record now stands at 1-3.
