The Metcalfe County Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Franklin-Simpson Wildcats to 0 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Glasgow for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 19. Metcalfe County will confront a Scotties squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Scotties record now stands at 1-0.

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
