The San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) volleyball tipped the visiting Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, San Benito upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Greyhounds host Vela (Edinburg, TX) to face the Sabercats in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 21. The Sabercats go into the outing with a record of 4-2.

The Gators now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mission for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 19. Grulla will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Donna (Donna, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
