The West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) football defeated the visiting Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC), 28-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 26. West Johnston will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 31-7 non-league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).

The Trojans (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Sanderson (Raleigh, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Sanderson defeated Green Level (Cary, NC), 49-29, in a non-league bout.
