In Friday's non-league match, the host Hudson Explorers football squad scored a close 14-13 victory over the Solon Comets.

In their next game, the Explorers clash with the Euclid Panthers (Euclid, OH) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 26. Hudson will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 38-6 non-league loss to Aurora (Aurora, OH).
