In Friday's non-league battle, the host Rockwell Christian School Chargers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Matthews Christian Academy Colts.

The Chargers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Union Grove Christian (Lexington, NC). The Patriots come into the NCCSA AA District 1 - West Region battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Union Grove Christian defeated Greensboro HomeSchool (Greensboro, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Colts encounter the Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 23. Matthews Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Cougar come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Alamance Christian (Graham, NC).
