Next, the Commodores confront the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs (Hazard, KY) in a District 53 challenge, on Monday, August 21. Perry County Central will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY).

The Colonels now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host South Laurel for a District 49 challenge on Tuesday, August 22. Whitley County will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Laurel (London, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-1.
