With the win, Madison Central upgrades its record to 7-2 on the year. The Indians host Bourbon County (Paris, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Bourbon County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Campbell County (Alexandria, KY)

The Pirates now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Letcher County Central for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. Powell County will play a Cougars / Lady Cougars squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Cougars / Lady Cougars record now stands at 1-0.
