Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 7-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Appling County upgrades its record to 6-0 on the year. The Pirates travel to Wayne County (Jesup, GA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 20. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a record of 7-2. Wayne County won 8-4 in their recent non-league game against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA)

The Rebels now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Emanuel County Institute for a non-league game on Saturday, August 24.
