With the triumph, Fannin County upgrades its record to 5-0 on the year. The Rebels host Coosa (Rome, GA) to play the Eagles in a 1A D-I Region 7 game on Tuesday, August 20. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 0-5. Coosa lost 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Douglas County (Douglasville, GA)

The Indians now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to East Jackson for a non-league game on Thursday, August 22. Towns County will play a Eagles squad coming off a 27-7 non-league win over Gainesville (Gainesville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-2.
