The Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) softball routed the host Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), 18-0 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Bobcats now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Adairsville for a 3A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, August 20. Gilmer will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 7-2 league loss to LaFayette (LaFayette, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Gordon Central moves to 0-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Dade County (Trenton, GA) to encounter the Wolverines in a 1A D-I Region 7 match on Tuesday, August 20. The Wolverines come into the match with a record of 6-4. Dade County won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Trion (Trion, GA)
