Rush Springs Redskins (Rush Springs, OK) boosters exited the stadium happy Monday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the visiting Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK), 12-1 in a league bout.

The Redskins (5-0) will now prepare for their bout against Waurika (Waurika, OK). The Eagles go into the Class A bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, Waurika was routed by Big Pasture (Randlett, OK), 12-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers (Elmore City, OK) in a Class A bout, on Thursday, August 22. Velma-Alma will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record.
