Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) and the host Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN), observed Unicoi County's volleyball team top Happy Valley by a count of 3-0.

The Blue Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Greeneville (Greeneville, TN). The Greene Devils enter the AA District 1 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Greeneville was knocked off by Tennessee (Bristol, TN), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 20. Happy Valley will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC).
