The Lemon Bay Manta Rays (Englewood, FL) volleyball knocked off the host Booker Tornadoes (Sarasota, FL), 2-0 in Tuesday's league contest.
The Manta Rays (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Port (North Port, FL). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, North Port was knocked off by Babcock (Punta Gorda, FL), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Tornadoes battle the Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 20. Booker will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Out-of-Door Academy (Sarasota, FL).
