The Wayne Country Day Chargers soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals to 1 in the Chargers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Chargers now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Fayetteville Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 21. Wayne Country Day will face a Eagles team coming off a 8-0 league win over Berean Baptist Academy (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
The Generals (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Living Water Christian (Jacksonville, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Living Water Christian was overwhelmed by Coastal Brigade (Newport, NC), 4-2, in a non-league game.
