Davenport Bulldogs (Davenport, OK) fans exited the stadium satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their softball team tip the visiting Depew Hornets (Depew, OK), 8-5 in a league match.

The Bulldogs (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Bristow (Bristow, OK). The Pirates come into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Bristow nipped Berryhill (Tulsa, OK), 7-5, in a non-league game.

The Hornets now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Wetumka for a Class A game on Thursday, August 21. Depew will play a Chieftains squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Stuart (Stuart, OK). The Chieftains record now stands at 7-3.
