The Perry Panthers softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Taylor County Vikings to 1 in the Panthers non-league win on Tuesday.

The Panthers now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Coweta for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 21. Perry will confront a Indians team coming off a 7-0 league win over Douglas County (Douglasville, GA). The Indians record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, Taylor County moves to 4-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Schley County (Ellaville, GA) to meet the Wildcats in a 1A D-II Region 6 challenge on Thursday, August 21. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Schley County lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA)
