West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, West Stanly improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Colts travel to Carson (China Grove, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 21. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Carson won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Stanly (New London, NC)

Next, the Bearcats face the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a Rocky River 4A/5A test, on Thursday, August 21. Anson will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 3-1 league loss to Central Academy of Technology & Arts (Monroe, NC).
