Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Round Top-Carmine Cubs (Carmine, TX) and the visiting Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX), observed Round Top-Carmine's volleyball team hold off Giddings by a tally of 3-2.

The Cubs (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against BVCHEA HomeSchool (Bryan, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record.

Next, the Buffaloes meet the Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 21. Giddings will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Geneva (Boerne, TX).
