The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Troy (Troy, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Troy was knocked off by Robinson (Robinson, TX), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs battle the Bosqueville Bulldogs (Waco, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 21. Marlin will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 3-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX).
