In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Northeast Jones Tigers volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the West Jones Mustangs.
With the win, Northeast Jones improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers host Sumrall (Sumrall, MS) to encounter the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 7. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 2-1.
The Mustangs now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Petal for a non-league battle on Monday, August 4. West Jones will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
