The Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds held off the host Eagle River Wolves volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Thunderbirds now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palmer for a non-league test on Saturday, August 20. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will confront a Moose team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Valdez (Valdez, AK). The Moose record now stands at 3-2.
The Wolves (1-3) will now prepare for their test against West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, West Anchorage held off Chugiak (Chugiak, AK), 1-0, in a non-league test.
