In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Maple Mountain Golden Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Timpview Thunderbirds.

The Golden Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lone Peak (Highland, UT). The Knights enter the non-league outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Lone Peak tipped Layton (Layton, UT), 5-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Wasatch Wasps (Heber City, UT) in a 5A Region 7 outing, on Thursday, August 22. Timpview will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wasps enter the outing with a 1-3 record after their 0-0 league Spanish Fork (Spanish Fork, UT).
